164 ts stuff

Does anyone know if the 164 tspark ever got the later twin spark engine, as
fitted to the GTV...?  I assumed it did, but I've been told otherwise recently.

Also, I suspect the car could be quick enough, except it seems quite overgeared.
Lower profile tyres would lower the gearing, but would ruin the cars looks (I
think..?).  Anyone any thoughts about changing the final drive...?
