Spider Power windows

Jon Inge writes asking how to lower his stuck power window.
A couple of ideas come to mind:
1. Use the manual window crank found in the glovebox. (At least that's where 
MINE was.)
you might try APE to get a used one.
2. Try swapping the leads at the switch for the passenger and driver's windows. 
This will eliminate the switch as the cause of the problem, as opposed to the 
motor. On my car, the switches were very corroded, and disassembling and 
cleaning the switch contacts restored normal operation.
