Alfa in Norway

Just back from two weeks in Bergen, Norway. Most of the Alfas must be snug in
their garages for winter. In the entire time, I saw a 146, a 33, 3 156's, a
166, and a 1972 2000 Berlina. The 166 was in the dealer showroom. First and
only one I've ever seen. Nice car, but a bit big and plush for those of us
accustomed to less luxurious surroundings and I'm not enamoured with the
styling. It cost 393,000 kroner, or about $49,000 over there, but apparently
40% of that is tax. The Berlina was on a lift inside a Statoil station on the
way from Bergen to Agotnes. My Alfa finding 6th sense detected it in the
predawn (about 8:30 AM) darkness as I drove by. It was in for checks prior to
being put back on the road. Didn't see any of the other Scandanavian digesters,
but was able to confim Bergen's charm, as shown in photos I had been directed
to. Oh, yes...and now I have eaten lutefisk, and never have to do it again.
