Matthew Dooher wrote about making a conical bushing insert tool out of a 
piece of PVC.  I have found that if you are so inclined (pun), a tapered neck 
of a 1.5 liter plastic gin bottle (or booze or other beverage bottle of your 
choice) can often be made to provide the same ease of insertion of a bushing 
and is a whole lot easier to make or modify.  Also cheap (after you empty the 
bottle).
