"My GTV did this years ago and was caused by the oil pan guard being loose."

The things which various cars and/or owners had done in 1222 were:
- - have feedback problems with radio/CD speakers,
- - need a set of rear trailing arms for a DUETTO,
- - have heating problems probably due to a defective heater valve,
- - have a brake warning light stay on without apparent reason,
- - have a godawful buzzing sound emanating from the passenger side dash,
- - run poorly with fouled plugs,
- - need 6mm bolts for a steering wheel puller,
- - seek a device to preheat to ease cold starts,
- - seek information on fitting BMW calipers,
- - resolve confusion about GTA wheel-mounting bolt circles,
- - have a rough-idling/missing problem,
- - discuss stress cracks in exhaust headers.

"MSDS,INC@ 2643 Rosemead Blvd., So. El Monte, CA 91733 @818-453-8823 is the
solution to your problem. The area code might have changed to 323."

The things which various cars and/or owners had done in 1224 were:

- - comment on the confusion about GTA wheel-mounting bolt circles,
- - consider stuffing a Montreal engine in a GTV,
- - have a dead odometer/trip-meter,
- - have creaking noises after installing Bilstein shocks,
- - discuss header cracking further,
- - discuss spindle/caliper/wheel relationships,
- - have problems reaching APE by phone,
- - discuss 164 wheel/tire combinations,
- - discuss 164 bushing replacement,
- - discuss Alfetta spring buffers,
- - discuss a failed emissions test,
- - discuss Dave Mericle's address
- - compare Graham Hilder's tires (and performance) with Les Singh's,
- - comment on a collision between a 164 and a Ford Ranger
- - chat about temperature sensors on various UK 164s.

Fred, wishing to help people but not being clairvoyant, often asks people to
give their addresses.

I, appreciating learning about the solutions to problems, but not being very
insightful, am prone to wonder (sometimes) what the hell the problems were
that elicit certain succinct, but cryptic, answers.
