ABS light > 80 mph

This has been known to happen on BMWs with aftermarket wheels and slightly 
different size tires. If the diameters are non-stock, then the ABS computer 
can see the constant difference in speed between the front and the back as 
an error. Do you have aftermarket wheels or non stock size tires? Or maybe 
even different tire types on different wheels, there is some brand-brand 
tolerance.

On the BMW list, someone took their car to the shop with the same complaint 
(light comes on over 80 mph). While verifying the problem, their mechanic 
got a ticket!
