Shipping Cars to/From Europe

I have never looking into the price, but Chequered Flag in California
advertises shipping to the Netherlands for $800 U.S. (cheaper than over land
to N.Y.)  So I would guess shipping from Europe to the N. E. U.S. would be
about the same amount or cheaper, depending on local taxes, competition etc.
