I seem to recall the Spider 1750 tachometer being redlined at 5300 rpm,
just like my current Spider 2000 tach. In stock trim, they don't make
much power beyond that point anyway. I would trust either to be safe to
6000 rpm or so for occasional bursts but wouldn't run a 2000 much past
that, where with a set of cams and some extra compression my old 1750
seemed quite happy up to about 6300-6500 rpm.
