In 1992, my brother and I drove his '89 SHO in "One Lap of America". In
1993, we drove my '91 164S. As amateur drivers, we finished respectably
in the middle of the pack both years. Although it was not a head to head
race, the 2 cars performed very similar. We both agreed, however (my
brother grudgingly), that the 3000 miles in 5 days was MUCH more
comfortable in the ALFA.
