No, there are two, at least on the 12 valve engine, though one is hard
to see. The two wire one is the gauge sender, the one wire one is the
lamp one.
There is also a ground/earth wire on the t.stat housing because
strangely enough it is not grounded through the fasteners and stuff to
the engine.
