Are you aware of the 750/101 chat group that has started up in the past
few months? The people there would certainly know the answer to your

My own guess (and, check with some experts, such as Bill Gillham,
or Tom Sahines) is that exterior mirrors were a dealer-installed
accessory (probably at extra cost). The round/spindley mirror you
describe sounds like a Lucas mirror. Reproductions, as well as
Lucas-manufacturered versions, should be available from Moss
Motors in Goleta, Calif.
