SPICA And the Digest.

Dear Alfaists:
I have been reading the Digest for more than a year now and have had the
pleasure of participating in the discussion from time to time. I currently
love the debate between 1750 and 2000 engines and SPICA vs. Webers.
I have owned both 1750 and 2000 equipped spiders and I have to admit that
the 1750 had a little more responsiveness but the 2000 seem to have more
power. Of course this may be due to a set up on the 1750 I didn't know
about. ( I owned it in college and was more concerned with the girl
attraction it afforded, than Fuel setup's). I also have a on running feud
between a me with a SPICA powered 74 Spider and a good friend with a Weber
powered 1600 Dueletto.
I Here are my conclusion as of late.
The 71-74 spiders are allot better than the 67 Dueletto. :')
Webers are harder to set up than a properly tuned SPICA.

During the winter, i am rebuilding the engine. I have done a lot of
research into fuel delivery vs performance and sending my SPICA to Wes and
letting him rebuild it makes the best sense to me. The rebuilt SPICA and
his installed his Euro cams is the best (and cheapest) way to boast
performance without putting a second mortgage on the house. He estimates
that you should see a 10-15 HP increase (all for under a grand).
Another good thing is he answers the phone, and will answer every question.

Last but not least, I agree with Brain completely..... If interesting
dialogs such as this turn you off, may be it would be best to hop in you
Fiat EERRRRRRR Pre Iron curtain Hungarian four door and cruz.
