re: 2000-1750 dash transplant

Bob Brady asked how much work would be required to transplant the dash from
a 1750 GTV into a 2000 model. Several people answered, but there is an
important difference that nobody mentioned.

On the 2000 GTV, all the instuments and warning lights are routed through
one printed circuit board, while the 1750 has no two main modular
connectors for the dash instruments, two more modular connectors for the
fuel and temperature gauges on the console, single connectors for the
separate warning lights on the dash, and no PC board.

Funny thing is that at least the late 1750s and early 2000 cars have the
same electrical equipment and the wiring harnesses are nearly identical,
down to the color of the wires. The challenge in switching dashes would be
to translate the 2000's printed circuits to the 1750's plain old wires and
connectors. I'm not so familiar with the early 1750 ('68-69), but I
wouldn't be surprised if there are additional differences between those
cars and the 2000.
