Re: alfa-digest V7 #1127
To Tony Brucia:
I have almost the same set up on my 3 litre. I fooled around with more noise
as well! At one point I needed a new rear muffler, so I custom bent a
straight pipe from the center muffler back and added a oversized tip. It
sounded positively fabulous when on the cam! However, it just didn't work as
a daily driver. Just too loud. Too much resonation at 2500 rpm. I then
added a inline 4"x6" resonator just before the tip. Better, but still to
loud. I am now going to go back to a standard rear muffler. How do you like
the Stebro? As usual Alfa had it right. I am not sure you would enjoy going
without the center muffler. Judging by it's size it is at least as important
as the rear in quieting the car. And much closer to the cabin.
