Offside everybody, including Ferrari

Nearside is the Kerb side of the car, offside is the other side. In England
and other odd places where the drivers drive on the wrong side of the road
(left). I always thought that was why the nearside was called such, near
the kerb, and could never quite follow why because from the driver's seat
that would not be the near side!

Love those new wings on the Ferrari displayed in the photo on the web site
referred to, but is the angle of incidence correct? Mercedes recently
revisited vehicle aerodynamics at Le Mans, wings on wrong way up probably.

BTW, the nearside and offside remain the same if you drive on the right
side of the road too, which makes intuitive sense to NA drivers as the
nearside is the side you drive from and the offside is the side away from
the driver. You would then park the nearside away from the curb and walk
from there. The nut holding the steering wheel is ultimately the most
important one to get screwed on right, all other nuts lug or otherwise will
naturally be correct if that one is.
