GTV-^ Heater/AC Fan

I have an inoperable heater fan in my '85 GTV-6.  Does anyone know how to
gain access to this fan.  My shop manual does not discuss the GTV-6 H & AC
system, only the Milano's.  The housing for the fan seems to be welded in.
Any advice would be appreciated.
