administrivia: html format mail

a lot of you are still sending html format mail and it's not going through.
i try and reply individually, but i have a lot of incoming mail and don't
always get to send out a reply.

so if your mail isn't getting through, and you have verified that you are
on the list using the majordomo which command, then please check the
settings in your mail client to see if it is defaulting to sending mail in
html format.
