The combustion chambers are spaced differently in 2000 and 1750 heads, so
you can't just bolt a 1750 head onto a 2000 block. You can however, have
the chambers machined to fit the 2 litre, so the answer is not a simple
"no" either. Even a 1600 head can be made to fit a 2 litre. If you adapt in
this way you do get a performance bonus - increased compression ratio.
