Fred's comment about fuses

Popping fuses USUALLY indicates an more serious electrical
problem...UNLESS you are dealing with aged ceramic fuses. 3 Alfas and
2 Volvos have taught me that those exposed metal strips can
arbitrarily burn when they reach old age (start to corrode). Random,
meaningless ceramic fuse failure in older Alfas is somewhat expected.
Ignore persistent failures at your own risk!
