With some very educated Alfisti around  wonder what kind of flack I'll
get on this term.  Rim, is only a part of a wheel, so why do so many
refer to wheels as rims?  Many years ago solid rubber tires were mounted
on rims that bolted onto wheels made of wood or steel.  Later on
pneumatic tires also were mounted on split rims and bolted to wheels.
Today we have one piece wheels that tires are mounted on, so please do
not refer to wheels as rims unless they actually are two piece affairs.
