Cost of 60 vs. 65 series tires.

My experiences buying tires and just confirmed by looking at Tire Rack's 
prices indicate that this is not true in the US.  As far as I can tell, the 
cost of the same model tire is proportional to the amount of rubber it took 
to make it.  Thus, a 205/70-15 is more expensive than a 205/60-15 which is 
more expensive than a 205/50-15......

As the aspect ratio tends towards zero, so does the cost.  So those 
205/00-15s are free :)
