RE: Ford or GM to merge with FIAT?

I agree, a FIAT Ford merger would be much better for FIAT (And
Alfa/Ferrari/Maserati) then a GM merger. As much as I hate seeing the
occasional piece of ford switchgear in an Aston (And would hate it more in a
Ferrari or Alfa), Ford does let niche manufacturing to continue under its
umbrella of control. GM would be more likely to platform engineer the soul
out of FIAT products, so if FIAT has to merge to survive, I'd rather it be
with Ford then any other American company.

Subject: Ford or GM to merge with FIAT?

Hey Folks,

In a report from the Frankfurt Autoshow on NPR this morning, it was
said that Fiat has been talking to GM and Ford about a possible merger.
No details beyond that though.
Personally, I'm pulling for Ford.
