A peculiarity of my '91 Spider

There is only one strange thing (aside from my wacky Mexican relay problem)
about this Spider. It does not have the rear badges that say "Alfa Romeo"
and "Spider Veloce." Yet it clearly is a Veloce based on all of the
original dealer's documentation and the title search I performed before
buying the vehicle.

Does anyone have any insight into this? The car was manufactured in 5/90.
Could it be an early '91 model and perhaps they weren't putting badges on
them? Is it possible that the badges somehow slipped through the cracks in
the manufacturing/inspection process? I have been advised that NOT having
the badges could make it worth more money in the long run. I have a firm
commitment to have the Spider be maintained 'as original' but if adding the
badges now would decrease the value then I won't. Every single other facet
of this car appears to be like every other post '91 Spider I've seen.

Thanks,
Brian
