Does the Milano have a one wire sensor?  I'd bet that it does.  The problem
with the signal you are getting is that the sensor is not hot enough.
Unless previously run, just idling the engine will not get the sensor hot
enough to do anything, hence a possible .01 V signal.  Running properly,
nice and hot, the sensor would not likely give you a .01V reading, that
would have to be so lean that the car wouldn't run...
