Not so Dumb Question.

It's possible to have the engine 180degrees out of time. If I recall
correctly the big problem with this is the engine design parameters are
optimised for the correct order and there is potential for damage. (I
can't remember what).

It is also possible to insert the distributor 180 degrees out.
