Piaggio is not owned by Fiat, but the major shareholder of
Fiat (the Agnelli family) is also the major shareholder in
the Piaggio group.

There are currently rumours that Piaggio may be bought
by Texas Pacific, the company that now owns the majority
of Ducati. Maybe Fiat is next on their shopping list<g>
