crunch! dent! d'oh! (spider repairs)

Well, this morning I had the spider towed in to take care of that stripped
stud on the FI oil filter housing. 
As the tow truck driver pulled out of our sloped driveway, he, um, squashed
the exhaust between the driveway and the body of the car, which crunched the
rear valance panel under the bumper. Aaargh! So now I need body work. Just
what I wanted. Conveniently, the towing place (AAA & State Farm approved) is
also a body shop, so of course they want to do it themselves. He did offer
the option of having someone else do it. I know at least two competent
Italian-car body work people. 
My question to anybody with experience with minor accidents is, what am I
entitled to? I'm kind of worried about my 8-year-old paintjob matching the
new paint on the rear valance after the work is done. The panel was slightly
creased before (PO), but now it's really dented up.
