In keeping with a theme here, I, too have had trouble with the
inertia switch in the engine compartment triggering without reason.
It really stumped me for a few agonizing hours and I only
discovered it by fluke. It wasn't in the IAP manual as far as I could
see. Is this a common problem?
The only good thing to come of this is that I now have an easy way
of disabling the vehicle from would-be theives for short term
storage...

Today in stop and go traffic the car suddenly died...
No missing sputtering etc.
Never did it before. Runs fine for another hour then suddenly dies
while driving in 4th at around 3000 rpm. I'm leaning towards
electrical problem in the ignition circuit, but if it's going to be
intermittent like this it'll be a bear to trace.

Jay Mackro has some very good advice. Unless I missed
something there is one other thing to wiggle.
Next time it quits, run, don't walk to the front of your car, lift the
hood, vigorously pull up and down the fuel cut-off thingy / switch
several times. Then try starting it again. (Ummm, yours does have
one doesn't it?).
