Very same thing happened to my 75 Spider. It was the rear fuel filter. Cold
it allowed enough fuel through to run well. As it heats up the crap in the
filter swells and starts to starve the engine. A new rear filter solved the
problem entirely. Simple to check and fix. May or may not have anything to do
with the wet plugs.
