164LS radio Skreech

Does anyone with a 164LS or Q with the Fujitsu radio have trouble with skreeching? Mine
will occasionally put forth a very unpleasant  noise that penetrates your body.
It will only happen once per drive, if at all.
The noise sems to be independent of what is playing (CD, radio or tape) and independent
of the volume. For these reasons, I suspect the amp.

Has anyone replaced the Fujitsu AMP with another brand?
