Fuel vapour separator

Hi All,

I am planning to lose the fuel/vapour separator in my Alfasud race car.
As far as I can see, I can just return fuel straight into the tank and
have a fuel tank vent, venting somewhere out side the car. Is this a
valid assumption?
Also, does anyone have any ideas regarding the atmospheric vent?
