I found that a pair of vise grips works well, but the best solution was 
provided by Mike "Bonneville Racer" Besic, he loaned me his small Craftsman 
ignition wrench. One side has the opening parallel to the handle and the 
other is perpendicular. By flipping the wrench to alternately use the two 
wrench heads my pivot bolt went in very quickly. Don't forget to tie a piece 
of heavy thread around the bolt so that _WHEN_ you drop it you can "fish" it 
back out.
