164, Ala. triatholon

Some time ago I queried about a 164S that was difficult at low speeds.
Tended to buck under 3000 rpm in 1st and 2nd, smelled like hell. I'm happy
to report that replaced cracked fuel lines helped the smell, and a replaced
plenum hose cured the buck. It's good to be back in love.

Regarding an Alabama triathlon: My wife is contesting, and we want to avoid
camping out near Lake Gunterville the night before. So far, all attempts
have found booked rooms. Can anyone advise regarding accommodations near
Gunterville, Ala., or perhaps other towns nearer than Huntsville?

Should be a great opportunity to run the 164S on a nice day trip from
Atlanta. That ought to cover Alfa content.
