Some Milano ABS questions...

I finally got around to giving my 88 verde some much needed attention last
night. Now I have some questions:

1. the "brake" light has been on the ARC for some time. I initially thought
it was the wiring for the rear pad sensors gone bad (it had been jumpered due
to the non-sensor pads being installed). When I looked at it last night,
sure enough, a wire was broken. But, after rewiring it, the light remained
on. front pads have the sensors and they are fine. fluid level looks fine
in the MC. Am I missing anything?? The abs literature indicates that this
light can come on for low pressure, independently of the ABS light (which
goes out after starting the car). Any suggestions?

2. the rear pads need to be replace again, after only 17,000 miles. I
thought i had the pad clearances fine, at 0.002", but apparantly not. So,
now that I need to replace them, any suggestions? Some have recommended
Eriminas, but I did not like the pads they sent me for my gtv (they don't
stop as well as the ones that were on there). Is the compound different for
the milano? how about Axxis metal masters?

3. i replaced the accumulator about 20,000 miles ago (2.5 years), and now
the pump will run after three brake applications. the new accumulator never
held pressure for more than a day parked (it would run for 15 sec or more
after sitting overnight). is there anyway for air to be trapped in a new
accumulator? I recall just installing it as noone at that time mentioned
filling it with fluid first. should normal bleeding remove any air?

thanks,
