restoring fastners

To clean those fastners, nuts, etc. try soaking them in Coke. Sounds strange 
but it works. The best thing would be to take them and have them Galvanised. 
The acid dip them first so they a perfectly clean and then galvanise them. 
They look realy good after and if it is good quality work they will look 
good for ages. You can even try other metal bits that don't look so good. I 
have done things like the bonnet catch (top and bottom) door stikers and 
anythings else that turned up.

Against an AR501 red background the silvery grey of the galvanising looks 
realy good.
