Greetings Alfisti!
For the gentleman looking for a rear spoiler for his 1976 alfetta
Gt,here's 2 places to try,and one person to ask:
1.Alfa Parts exchange, Haywood,CA at www.APEDIRECT.com .They will have used
parts but quality is very good and the parts are very cheap.(Got a set of
Alfetta Velocissima front flares(make from that rare material
absolutelyunobtainium) from these guys for $50.Good folks and honest, too.
2.AlfaBill,Mastro Alfa/Subaru,Tampa,FL who advertises on the digest
regularly. Also very honest and good to deal with, always has a good price for
items.
3. Ian Evans had some spoilers of the type your'e looking for (new ones)for
sale recently. He's a regular poster to the digest.
4.AR Ricambi sells the spoilers;but I don't recommend them to anyone
anymore.......................
For the gentleman who was asking about straight/ tapered clutch
assembly shafts;if I remember correctly, the straight clutch shafts were used
on 1976 and earlier cars;whereas the post 76 models use the tapered shafts.I
don't think they're interchangeable.
Finally, I have a question for all Alfisti.I'm going to be managing a
car rental office starting September 1st,yessssssss!!I'm trying to come up
with some ideas which would increase my business and offer real benefits to
Alfisti and car enthusiasts in general.(I've already put in a suggestion to
corporate for my office to be used for a US fleet test of alfa 156
selectspeeds and Alfa 166's,but that pesky "not for sale in the US' thing
keeps popping up :)Some ideas that are viable are as follows:
1.10% discount for car club folks-20% discount for Alfisti (at my office;each
office is corporate owned but individual site managers have a lot of latitude
as far as pricing and marketing is concerned.)
2.Making our locations available for club events (concours, car shows, swap
meets and autocrosses?)
3.Make trucks and tow dollies available for rental at lower rates than what
Uhaul charges.(You rent the truck, I'll throw in the tow dolly free;something
like that?)
I'd enjoy hearing your ideas on what I could do to make renting a car a
positive experience. Our company has over 400 locations throughout the US so
what I try could be adopted nationwide. Please respond off post.
Thanks!

1987 Milano Gold (Alfie,132k miles.A customer actually asked if my Alfie was
available to rent this morning! She offered to pay the premium rate for it
which in our company is $49.99 per day. Made me feel good......)
1979 alfetta Velocissima (Lazarus, waiting impatiently to be made fully
roadworthy again.......)
