Jafco

In AD7-866 Ian Evans asks "Any digesti out there currently own or have past
experience with a Jafco turbo Alfa? Just need a little information - - "

I have no experience, but in the February 1981 Alfa Owner there is an article
titled "The Vandenberg Papers" which may be of some interest. Dave
Vandenberg, who owned an Alfa/BMW shop in Belmont, California ran an
extensive series of dyno tests on a two-liter Alfa engine, generating a base
line and then comparing various cams, Weber carbs, Spica injections, air
boxes, distributors, exhaust systems and a bolt-on Jafco system. Might be
worth looking up. In addition, Wes Ingram, the Spica guruissimo, wrote an
article in the May 1992 Alfa Owner entitled " TRACK TECH: A Racer's View of
the Spica Injection System" which discusses the use of Spica injection with
the Jafco; it is not en extensive discussion but enough to suggest that he
would be a good source.
