EFI Fuel Pumps

I hesitate to mention it for fear of flames, but my
GTV6 has a Borg Warner fuel pump on it and it has for
over two years. I'm not sure of the application but I
have the box somewhere with the number on it. I think
it's for a Supra or Nissan "Z" car or something like
that. I wouldn't call it a straight bolt on, but it
wasn't a big deal. It was about $90 at a local
discount Autoparts store.

Normally, I wouldn't do that or recommend it, but the
B***h stranded me 160 miles from home. I believe most
any EFI fuel pump will have sufficient pressure and
the pressure regulator will tame it if it's too high.
The only problem is that it doesn't have an
"anti-siphon valve" in it. The fuel rails drain after
it sits overnight and since the V6 cars fuel pump is
triggered by the AFM, it took long cranking to get it
to fire. I put a one way inline valve in the fuel
line and it worked great. It's from a VW.

Boy... I'm really asking for it, aren't I?

I have a new Bosch pump that I ordered right after it
happened but this one works so well that I'm keeping
the Bosch as a spare for now.
