Spider fuel pump

Nan

The Bosch fuel pump for the L-Jet that's outside the tank is a high
pressure pump (30+ psi) to deliver high pressure fuel to the injectors.
It may well be similar, if not the same, as the fuel pump for other
L-Jetronic cars of the early-mid 80's. NAPA may be able to give you an
alternative. The Bosch pump is around $180 from the Alfa catalogs and
may be a little less expensive from a dealer who would give a discount
to Alfa Club members (like Spruell in Atlanta, or Mastro where AlfaBill
holds court). Let your fingers do the walking.

There is also a small submersible pump in the tank to prime the bigger
pump. I don't know if that pump was used in other L-Jetronic cars. The
last time I had one replaced is was about $60, but that was 3-4 years
ago.
