Maybe. Like I said, might as well use an empty can. If you change your oil
that often and reliably and your air filter as well, then it *almost* won't
matter what oil filter you use - or even no filter at all! Besides, if poor
filtering allowed somewhat increased engine wear, how would you ever know it
or prove it such that you could make a claim to the filter company? Sure
your cars run fine, but filters are really only like insurance for the long
term anyway. Funny that the Japanese (who make terrific engines) also know
how to make oil filters and, although they are seldom called upon for any
dramatic protection, they build them right anyway - as insurance against the
unlikely but undesirable possibilities that may be encountered on the road
of life.
