Re: replacing cams

In AD7-819 Marko Mataija, with a worn intake cam on a 1750 engine, is
concerned
about putting a cam (or cams) from either a 1600 or 2000 (which he has) in it.

The best information I have says that cam 105020320001, 9.5 MM lift, 226
degrees duration, was used in late 1600s and early 1750s, and cam
105480320001, 10.1 MM lift, 230 degrees duration, was used in late 1750s and
2000s. If this is correct he should be able to use either matched pair in the
1750, or one cam from one pair or the other with his still-good exhaust
camshaft. Either way, his questions about performance, reliability and
consumption should have easy answers.
