I am about to have a carpet set made up for my '74 gtv. I think I have an
original set to go by, but want to make sure before I start cutting. GTV
owners: can you verify that the carpet set should look like the following:
1. bound mat extending from base of fire wall up fire wall, both sides. The
driver side gets a bound hole for the windshield washer.
2. bound mat extending from base of fire wall, under front seat, through the
rear foot well, terminating at the base of the rear seat (under the stainless
trim there). This mat is on both sides. The driver side gets a rubber mat
where the feet rest.
3. unbound carpet covering sill area, from under sill to floor, both sides,
extending from rear seat up to fire wall
4. bound mat covering center tunnel, from fire wall to front of parking
brake. Rubber mat installed on driver side of tunnel
5. bound mat covering center tunnel, from front of parking brake, to rear
seat
6. piece of carpet to cover area from rear of tunnel to the center of the
front of the rear seat
Did I miss anything? Are the descriptions of the individual pieces correct?
Thanks,
