Late '70's nose on '86 Spider

I've found an '86 Spider that's been crunched on the nose and would like to
know if anyone has tried putting a late '70's Spider nose on a later model
car. Looks to me they would be the same. 

Any tricks do doing this i.e. removeing the donor parts from the donor car?
