In response to Ron King's inquiry, I doubt he would need a clear lacquer over 
the touch up paint, assuming that most chips you would use touch up for are 8 
or 9mm or less in size. Using a base of primer compatible with the touch up 
paint is recommended, as well as polishing compound between coats of touch 
up, following up with a good wax after the paint has had a chance to "cure".
