Nice post by Mark Battley. As someone who teaches engineers about how to do
engineering experiments, it's nice to see some real data taken in what
appears to be a careful way.

I do have a question for all the spring experts.  Lore is that spring
length (or ride height, presumably altered by spring length) was raised by
1" for US spec spiders in 75 or so.  Is this true?  Were spring rates held
constant, or was same guage coil wire used, just more turns, or just
different initial length?  As you might guess, I have a '76 with what I
thinka re original springs, and am curious.
