I'd love to see Dana's data on ride heights etc... I thought someone a while
back was also compiling suspension/ride height info. We could make a great
data base on this stuff. Anyone else got any info?

The CRH has a bunch of data on springs, but is strange (for me) in how they
tabulate rate, using %, instead of kg/mm or lb/in. In the rear spring data
table, they give free length, loaded length, and load. So, I figured it
would be simple to calculate rate, except I get rates that are way too low,
i.e. 22 lb/in. If I change the loads to kg (they are listed in lbs, but that
may be a typo), the rates seem more reasonable, giving 48.8 lbs/in for the
stock 1300/1300TI/Super rear springs.

I think much of the CRH spring data (as well as much of the other
information) is of limited use to the 2000 gtvs since they are much heavier
than the gtas and tire technology has changed dramatically. The info on the
GTAms, however, may be somewhat relevant.

One point of interest, to those who poo poo cutting off coils, the CRH cites
numerous examples of springs that are identical to others, except they note
numbers of coils cut off.

Data anyone?

thoroughly interested....
