Norm Re "Stick to Alfa content!"

Hey, Norm. Consider the delete key.

If you wish to argue "Leave this Digest to us Alfa lovers", you have every
right to do that. More than that, your demand can be very well defended as
legitimate and has been. Indeed, if you have in fact "waded" to the extent
that you claim, your comment is not only anachronistic but obvious,
redundant, and a bit of a bloody bore by now.

More to the point, however, is your use of terms such as "crap" and
"garbage" and "soap box." There have been passionate voices heard on this
digest from sincere individuals who have given deep consideration to ideas
infinitely more important than any Alfa Romeo. Once again, I accept
without bothering to argue the point that this is not the forum for such
discussions. You are right. However, no one on this list expressed a
thought that was crap or garbage, either in style or content. In that
sense you are pathetically wrong. Indeed, IMHO, your post is the single
exception which reveals a pompous ignorance and shallowness if not vacuuity.

Please note that Richard Welty, who patiently and judiciously put up with
several of us who were provoked to break list etiquette, at the least was
wise enough to understand the sincerity of his wanderers and never once
wrote anyone off with simple minded critiques such as "crap" and "garbage."

To USA listers especially - and to much of the rest of the world - the
second amendment to the Constitution and its implications no matter what
one's interpretation is profoundly important.

May I suggest that you leave this digest to those whose depth requires them
to energetically swim rather than wade.

Disrespectfully,

David
