My favorite tire with all season capability and a performance edge is
the Pirelli P7000 Supersport.  On my 928 they ran muich quieter than
Dunlop 8000, were competent in snow, good in rain, and very good for
casual sporting.  More of a performance tire, than touring however,
they convey a nice (IMHO) bit of road feel.
