balky solenoid/starter

C'mon guys, these are fine, precision Italian machines; it is recommended
to use the correct tool.

For bonking balky starters, THE tool is an axe-handle.  Of ash, it is
dense (more impact), and of a cross-section much better than the
ubiquitous tubafor.  Of course a metal tool may yield a free light-show.

(As a bonus, the axe-handle also works on Detroit iron and German
craftsmanship.  Could also persuade a reluctant Asian.)
