Fractured Rods/Manufacturing processes

The manufacturing process for fractured rods actually diamond sizes
(honing) the rods after they are cracked. This is due to the cracking
process which deforms the crank bore, in fact the shape  keeps changing
(on Ford and Jag rods) until the rods have been torqued and untorqued
several times.

Unfortunately they are not.
